New and improved! I've added a subtle, laser-etched dollar bill sign graphic to the stainless steel case. This is pickup is inspired by the classic Dearmond Gold Foil pickups of the 1950s and 60s, but with my own twist. Toying with the concept of currency and the "gold standards" of instruments so many guitar players are addicted to, my recreation of these vintage top mount pickups boasts a totally different look than the originals (unlike most of the other tribute makers) and a slightly different internal design and sound. Each pickup is 1.5" wide X 4" long and only 0.33" high, so it will slide right under the strings of a lot of guitars out there and can be added without routing a cavity. They also come with wood risers in case you need to make the pickup get closer to the strings. Aprox 5.8k resistance. 1.2H. I designed and made custom stainless steel frames and stuffed them with 44AWG cooper windings on a reclaimed wood and cardboard bobbin around oversized magnetic poles, so either pickup will work in any position. They are hot wax potted wired with leads salvaged from an old pinball machine. Lo Fi in all the fun ways. They are crisp, lively, just a little "wild" and quiet, thanks to the full metal jacket.
