New Perspectives Music - The Liberator #3
The Liberator is one of my favorite designs, combining features of single cutaways, double cutaways and offsets to make a very ergonomic, handsome and unique but not "too unique" design - handmade with the planet in mind and less than an American factory brand name guitar! This third entry into the series is the best yet, of course, and is the demo guitar of my new SqWAYreBucker pickups, made with square cut iron nails as poles powered by and alnico 5 bar and 42 awg copper wire. The body is maple from a locally felled 250 year old tree with a reclaimed pallet wood top (oak). The neck is local poplar with the same maple fingerboard. 25.5" 16" radius, 2 way truss, top load hardtail bridge. The two little switches are tone drops. One cuts .0015 just to fight that high end, earpiercing squeal under high volume and gain and the other drops it into jazz guitar at the flip of a switch. Standard range tone knob is also there. The mismatched pickguards are cut from drops from a local factory. Low VOC finish. There are videos at youtube.com/timsway about the pickups and a side by side comparison of this guitar to a vintage L6S for reference. Here's an audio demo of this guitar: https://youtu.be/KW0dtpnlmQ0 Let me know if you have any questions. Join the revolution! -Tim
