"A tree with strings" was the design note that started the whole series, and after designing the Apeiron into a more versatile, design-your-own system, I wanted to take all I learned and go back to the bass's roots, hence the Apeiron Classic. Like the original, the classic has the same proportions and scale as the regular Apeiron series, but it is constructed slightly differently with a one-piece fingerboard, neck-through design. I also turned the tuning machines sideways and put the controls on the back to get back to the one-piece "tree with strings" look. This is a very unique design from a manufacturing standpoint as well as looks. Like all it is ergonomic and lightweight but this particular one may be the lightest yet, weighing in at only 5.2 lbs (most are 5.5-6 lbs). This lovely bass is made all from locally sourced ambrosia maple and is my prototype design for adding color to parts of the instrument. 8 color options are now available at the design your own.
