Drawing inspiration from legendary super strat speed machines like the Ibanez RG 7, Universe 7, and Black Machine B7, amongst others, this Bridge Builder Guitars Oxcart 7-string seeks to take the super strat into the world of 21st century exquisite custom guitars. Oh, and it's made by Neurotic Guitar Dorks in Ohio. This 7-string guitar features our transparent graphite black stain over a flame maple top and back with a hand rubbed polyurethane finish. The body core is spanish cedar with black accent veneers on both the front and back. The 3-piece quartersawn maple neck has a 25.5” scale, and slim modern C shape, sports a birdseye maple fretboard with 24 Jescar Stainless steel frets, and is finished with our Bridge Builder Super Silk neck treatment (there is no better feeling neck finish in existence!). The Bridge Builder Bright-Glo glow-in-the-dark side dots are ringed with a reflective, non-tarnishing silver and are easy to see on even the darkest of stages. The headstock sports a front veneer cut from the same flame maple as the top of the guitar. The nut is made from Graphtech black Tusq that pairs well with the Graphtech saddles on the Schaller Hannes bridge. Seymour Duncan Sentient (neck ) and Pegasus(bridge) humbuckers produce a wide range of tones thanks to a versatile custom wiring scheme utilizing series​/​parallel sounds for each pickup that feeds a Switchraft switchboard-style output jack designed to survive 1,000,000 in​/​out cycles. This guitar sounds as good as it looks, and with flawlessly executed fretwork and impossibly low action it plays even better.
