X-Synth 2024 by Ivy Pedals

This listing is for the X-Synth by Ivy Pedals, the last few builds of the 2024 version. The X-Synth is a compact guitar synthesizer with a resonant low-pass filter, capable of mono- and polyphonic response, as well as a devastating fuzz tone. The X-Synth is designed to maximize sustain, create a perfect square/rectangular waveform with a perfectly constant output level, and to shape the output waveform using the spicy CMOS low-pass filter. Many users of this pedal consider it a Fuzz pedal, more so than a synth pedal, but that is up to you! CONTROLS: Freq. - filter frequency cutoff Reso. - filter resonance/emphasis/Q; adds brightness Adj. - input gain adjustment, for sustain and response Vol. - output volume, keep it low... How does it work? Well, it takes the input signal, and uses a Schmitt Trigger to create a square/rect wave, that then goes through the filter to the output. The 'synth' tone is not a perfect square wave, and this allows the circuit to respond to multiple frequency components, more akin to PWM synthesis (where many pulses together create a more complex waveform/sound). Use the Adj. knob to add sustain or set your preferred gating response (which is handled with both hysteresis in the Schmitt Trigger and the Adj. control). X-Synth Specs: standard 9v DC power, red LED indicator, true bypass, and these come in a 1590B enclosure. No batteries.
